Layered Blue Bowl

I love bowls, and you’ll find many of them throughout my portfolio. This is one of the largest I’ve thrown, made in pursuit of a truly gorgeous popcorn bowl. The high sides gave me plenty of space to play with layered glazes. Glazing can be magical and frustrating in equal measure, but bowls with their sloping interiors often create especially beautiful results. For this piece, I layered numerous glazes in a swooping pattern to create movement and depth.
